icECAT EtherCAT Master Stack 1.12 released

IBV released the icECAT EtherCAT MainDevice (Master) Stack in the version 1.12.

New features in this version:

• SDO Info Service
• Removal of SubDevices from an ENI on a target system. Used together with an online network scan this helps to adjust an existing configuration for non-existing SubDevices.
• Reading and writing of an Explicit Device ID
• Mailbox Gateway according to ETG.8200
• Master Object Dictionary (mandatory feature set)
• Enhancements of the Remote Access Interface (RAI)

The master stack now supports these addtional platforms and Ethernet MACs:

• AMD Zynq UltraScale+ (GEM MAC)
• STM32H753 and STM32H755 (FreeRTOS and Zephyr)
• Renesas RZ/T2M
• Renesas RX72N
• TI AM64x auf R5F (now with adaptation to Linux)
• TI AM263Px (R5F, FreeRTOS)
• TI AM68 (Linux) (in preparation)
• Intel I350 (PCIe Ethernet MAC)

As of version v1.17/v1.18 the EtherCAT Configuration Library supports these new features:

• Support of the configuraiton of HotConnect groups
• Import/Export of CoE initilization parameters
• Online configuration mode in the  GUI tool:
  • PDO upload
  • Online object dictionary via RAI and SDO Info Service
  • Programming of the Explicit Device ID
